Hi, thank you for your question. The Insignia™ DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter will not allow a PS5 to output 120Hz to a monitor. The PS5 uses HDMI only, and adapters like this do not support converting HDMI to DisplayPort for high refresh rate gaming. Thank you for choosing Insignia. Sudeep | Insignia
