Yes you still need a screen protector on it they really do save your screen. I’d buy one at the store and have them put it on. Hope you enjoy your iPad .

Please try again later.depends how you are going to use it... if there is a chance that the Ipad could be dropped, you should get the protector - $40-50 for the protector is better than $300+ to replace the screen - or buy a new one. Lots of brands to choose from... get one with a solid warranty / guarantee if it doesn't work.
