It protects the phone but I recommend getting a screen protector so the front screen doesn’t crack

Great case. I’ve dropped my phone a few times including onto concrete. Not a scratch. Some of the bigger rubberized cases might be a bit better but they’re really bulky and I hate that. If you’re especially rough on phones maybe you’d need to get an otter box but this one is perfect for me!

I've dropped my phone twice from about 4ft and didn't have any breakage. That said, the phone didn't land on a corner so may not be the best indicator. The case does seem well made and holds up well to the environment.
