Hello Joe, thank you for your question. PETG filament does not typically need to be dried before first use if the package is sealed and the filament has been stored properly. However, PETG can absorb moisture over time, which may affect print quality. If the filament has been exposed to humidity or you notice stringing, popping sounds, or surface imperfections while printing, drying the filament before use may help improve results.
