• It does have a rubber sleeve, but it is not rugged. You would want to use it in a house only.

• I wouldn't knock it around to much, but it can handle being tossed about in the car and carried around. It has a non removable rubber casing.

• Yes it is very rugged. Have 3 grandkids the oldest is 6 , she has dropped it, thrown it and it continues to work perfect.

• No rubber sleeve, I've dropped it from4' onto concrete and other than scuffing the finish it held up just fine
