• It stands up on the side of the base. It is magnetized. At least mine is.

• Try not to make a big deal of this, but I just stand it up next to the opener on the charger.

• I'm not sure this is the correct way, but it works for me. Stand it up beside the wine opener (picture included). It leans against the opened but stays put until you pick the opener up.

• I just lay mine on top of the unit or next to it so I can always find it when I need it.
