Yes. Start completely over,and unlinked the speaker then re-link it like you have never done it before. That should solve the problem.

If I understand your question, go into your settings and then Bluetooth click on the speaker and it will give you the option to either forget it or delete it, you want to select that.

You go into your blutooth setting, press and hold on the speaker, it should then give you options, you want to pick the option to "forget". That should do it. I do not have an ipad myself so it may be slightly different but just look for the option to forget in the blutooth settings. Hope this was a help.
