The batteries fit flush in and do not require any special backplates. Backplates don’t come in the package and special ones are not required.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well yeah it does "fit" but taking it off is nearly impossible since the battery pack is bigger than normal AA batteries. And the back cover has to be pushed in to release the latches. I just use the controller without the battery cover. Makes life alot more simple
