• I would not cut it. It would be hard to get an even straight edge cut. Its best to purchase the small size.

• Yes it can be cut to any size you need. I cut it to fit on top of my tool box. Just be aware that the way it comes cut the ends are nicely pinched and when you cut it the ends will be flat and not pinched like they come from the factory. Picture a 2x4 with a nice bevel on the end of it like a ramp.(factory cut) then picture a 2x4 with a straight end square cut (what it will look like after you cut it)
