• There is a small “bumper” around the edge of the case but not as big as others I’ve seen

• Not enough of a bumper to protect. It sits fairly flush. I'm not even sure if it would protect the face if resting face down on a table.

• No. This phone case generally provides protection for the outer shell of the IPhone. The rubber of the case is pretty well flush with the screw of the phone.
