It covers the screen and has an ever so slight gap to allow it to work with cases such as an Otter Box. The bezels around the edges are not covered by this protector, however most likely you will have it in a case and that will protect the bezels. :)

For the iPhone 12 Pro Max it still leaves a tiny space between the end of the glass and the edge of the phone. Yet, it goes well beyond the screen area. Since I also have a case, the glass ends very close to the border of the case, which seems a perfect fit.
