“Does this microphone allow me to choose which microphone pattern I want it to pick up with? Some people mentioned in it picking up everything. Was that when it was set to omnidirectional? Or does it pick up everything no matter what pattern it's on?”

Yes this mic allows you to adjust the pattern! there's a knob in the back the change between 3 patterns which are full 360 degrees, 180 degrees from the front, and a binaural effect where it picks up sound directly in front and directly behind. You will see little pictures under the knob that shows you what the pattern looks like. ENJOY! :D
