• I can get Alexa to do this with no problem. But I cannot get any of my Google home devices to play a radio station. It responds with it could not find that radio station in play music.

• It can if you ask. For some stations I have to ask a certain way, like adding the call letters or city to 100.3 (or whatever station you ask for). Try wording it different ways. It has always eventually found every station I have asked for. I don't know what service exactly it's playing through (i.e. TuneIn or Google Play Music, etc.)
