“How do I dismiss(not snooze) an alarm? When the alarm goes off, I say "OK, Google stop" and it stops the alarm, however, the display stays blinking till I press a button. What does the blinking display mean? Does pressing a button also dismiss the alarm?”

Tap the round white light on top of the unit once- this stops the alarm. Wave your hand over the top to snooze the alarm for five minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have set a music alarm for weekdays at 7:10 am. If I say "Hey Google stop" or "Hey Google cancel" the alarm, it will cancel all future alarms as well as the current one. However, if I touch the center "button" on the top of the unit while the music is playing, it will stop the blinking and today's alarm music, while leaving future alarms unaffected. It took me months to figure this out. :)
