“1. How long does it take to charge it? 2. How do you know when it is fully charged? I just bought this item and those there is no mention of those two seemingly obvious questions in the included manual or the full manual on the insignia website.”

The included Quick Setup Guide does mention the question regarding how you know the charging status. It's on the bottom of the same page with the diagram of the back of the device. Charging - solid orange LED, Full charge - orange LED off (if device is off/ white LED if powered on), and Low battery - flashing orange LED.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's fully charged when the Red Light on the Back goes out if you have it turned off off and the the light on the back turns White only if you have it turned on. When It's charging on turned on the light on the back is purple.
