“During initial setup in Google Home, I managed to connect it to the my home wifi network. Next I see 'load' flashing on the speaker along with the 4 LEDs on top, and the white LED at the back. I'm unable to reset it using 12-15 second power button press”

Haven’t had the problem, but I would suggest you take the MAC address when it pops up in your router table and a sign of the static IP. That should end all the connection problems
