There is no difference in performance in Gen 3 vs gen 4 on a 3070. Depending on the resolution your playing on you may want to upgrade the cpu just for more fps. If your on 1080p then a newer Ryzen 5000 or intel 12th gen would give you more fps. But if your on 4K then you won’t get any boost worth the price of a new cpu/motherboard. 1440p is kinda in the middle so that’s your call if you wanna upgrade or not.
