“Does it automatically release & grip the phone in the holder? I have a holder that the release process is kinda clumsy. I would like a quick release for like an emergency phone call. My speakerphone is hard for others to hear me. Thanks in advance!!”

This releases the phone easily and has gaps to allow the power cord to be attached while in use (an important feature for long trips which can drain the battery).

It only grips when you push the phone into the holder. It does not release unless you squeeze the release triggers.

Yes, the phone is grabbed by the device when you mount it and press the phone. It is quickly released by pressing the two holders on the side.

Phone fits snug in holder. Releases smoothly when you remove it.

It's definitely easy to use, automatic grip yes kind of, but you gotta reset the arms to open position
