• iottie uses a very sticky almost gummy suction cup that can adhere to most everything. If it ever gets dirty just wash it off with some water and dish soap then restick. I have several of these one in each vehicle including my work van and LOVE these cell phone holders.

• Yes. I haven’t tried mounting it on metal but it comes with a mounting disk for a dashboard and you can stick that disk to the back of your monitor if the suction cup won’t stick by itself.

• Yes, it would attach because it is not a suction but this sticky substance. I don’t think I would put this on the back of my monitor though.
