A:AnswerThey sent mine to Apple to replace it, charging $70. They did not give me the SIM card and I didn’t know to ask for it. I do now!! I waited 3 weeks to finally have a working phone. Three trips to Best Buy not helping. Finally called my server.
A:AnswerBest Buy made an appointment via the service app on apple. They (Apple) did it while I waited. I initially took it to best buy and they told me they would send it away for service, and I could have picked it up the next day. I didn't want to wait. They said if I was willing, I could just drive a little further to the apple store and they could do it while I waited. They even set up the appointment for me.
A:AnswerThanks for your question! At this time, the price should include the battery as well. For support with your battery replacement, please visit www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a free consultation at your local Best Buy.
A:AnswerI have an older phone, but I think the timeframe would be the same. They estimated three hours, but it was complete completed in less than two hours.
A:AnswerFrom what I know, yes they will change the battery at a cost and not really Apple has to approve of the services and be notified that the battery or changes being modified to the phone. The appointment is hours of work for the service tech to do his or her job. They will let you know best of luck !
A:AnswerYou should backup your pictures and anything else you want saved as they could disappear during the replacement. They took just over 1 hour to replace mine.
A:AnswerBest Buy will not replace a phone battery that I bring myself. They require that the battery be purchased and installed by Geek Squad for safety and warranty reasons.
