“Can I just use the power cord to charge up devices or does it need a computer?”

• If you are referring to using the power cord + the USB hub, and not have anything connected to your computer, then the answer is 'sorta'. There is only one port of the seven total ports that allows for charging devices - it is designated with a white icon, which you can see in the product image as a blurry dot in the background on top of the hub. If you are looking for a powered hub to power/charge multiple devices, I would look elsewhere.
