“I saw a concern about this blocking the venting system on the back of a laptop. I have a Lenovo Think Pad and am wondering if this would still be good to use with my laptop. I don't want to block the vent on the back.”

If the vent is on the rear blowing parallel to the keyboard, you will not have an issue as your laptop rear edge sits on the dark grey portion (above the ports). If your laptop vents are on the bottom rear edge, then you will have the same issue as the laptop sitting on a table. Of course, the term laptop means one would expect that you could put the computer on your lap and operate it w/o hot air going directly onto your thighs but I've seen that at least once over the years!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have vents on the bottom back of your Lenovo computer, there is a rubber bar on the Dock that has a bit of a raise where a laptop will be placed to allow some circulation.
