Not sure if this will help. I use them on a motorcycle. I find that they tend to do good at cancelling consistent noise level, but they dont work like shooting earplus that cancel out bangs or hammer blows, things like that. By turning off the hear through mode and using ANC, they do help on the bike. I can still hear traffic but since I have "earplugs" in it will lower the amount of noise that I hear. My opinion is that they probably would not be enough sound suppression if you would normally wear earplugs for hearing protection at work. If it something more like a noisy warehouse with just alot of constant level noises, they may help.
