• Yes you can. This is actually the only feature on these I don’t like. I’d prefer if they did stop playing when I took one out

• Yes, if you take only one earbud out of the case, it will turn on and operate in MONO Mode. If you have both buds in and are in Stereo mode, you can simply take one out, right or left, and put it back in the case, and it will go to Mono Mode with the one still in your ear. You can also push and hold the button on the bud you dont want to use for 5 seconds, and this will turn that bud off, forcing the other into Mono Mode. The earlier models, I believe, like the 85T, 75, etc, could only do this with the right one?..... but the Newer Elite 3, 4, 5, and 7, all work in Mono Mode with either left or right, it doesn't matter and for the most part, it's automatic. :)
