Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Jabra's are not 'touch or capacitive", like your glass phone screen, these are push button. The entire center is one physical button. We have the Elite 3's, and the Elite "active" 4's, and the more water resistant IP57 rated 4's are harder to push in than the 3's, due to the more robust rubber sealing. Still not bad, but the 3's are nicer on the lighter button, I would love a capacitive, easy touch style, but if I wear them in a helmet, or touch a pillow etc, with them, I don't have to worry about accidentally hitting a button, so the physical push button style of these, with a positive click, works for me. Truth be told, I thought about this, like you, but during the day, the buttons don't seem to get pushed much, and I like the fact that brushing them inadvertently with an arm or hand when adjusting the fit, doesn't have any unintended outputs, the buttons are a win in this respect. I believe the Sony 1000 series are capacitive touch, and the Best of the Best for ANC, and currently a fantastic sale at BBuy for $179.00, if you are intent on capacitive controls. They look pretty cool as well, but the long term battery life (over a year), did not get good reviews on the Sony, so we saved some money, and bought the Jabras, especially for call quality. But the Sony's are definitely fantastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are push button control. The button is under a rubber coating on the outside of the bud and takes a bit to get used to since you have to press harder than Jabras other models (which isn't a bad thing imo since I always had accidental presses with other buds)
