Can this clamp be used underwater water for ice fishing I have an underwater viewing system that takes realtime video but does NOT record. I wanted to attach my GoPro to my devise with the clamp. I would attach my floats to the black cord just in case. Thanks, Steve B.

Yes you can I have and due use mine underwater. Make sure you do tether it with strong nylon cord. They make them that are super light weight with a breaking point of 10,000 lbs. I say this because mine has been caught twice on underwater branches that required me to very forcefully pull on to retrieve the unit.
