“Does a single unit play in stereo or is this only possible when matched with a 2nd speaker?”

• Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Boombox 3 plays in mono when using a single unit, and stereo sound is only achieved when it is paired or PartyBoost with another speaker.

• It plays in stereo with a single unit. It has a left midrange, and tweeter as well as a right midrange and tweeter. One subwoofer in middle.
