“Can this item be used on a ball field for warm up music and player walk ups. Is it strong enough not to sound "tiny"?”

I don't think it'd be loud enough for player walk ups, but for warm up music I think it would. It doesn't sound tiny by any means. I use it in the outdoor area at my gym and it definitely overpowers any and everyone else's music.

While using it on an open field, it will sound loud but will still vary depending on who's listening and how far you are from the speaker. Loudness is affected by your surrounding area.
