Pretty comparable! Both have great sound and bass, both are easy to set up with Bluetooth. I have no complaints with my JBL, I think you're just paying extra for the "Dre" and "Beats" name.

I am a Live/Studio audio engineer and I looked, and listened, for 3 months before I purchased the JBL Charge 2. It has the best bass response, fantastic clarity and a distortion free - very loud - volume range. It sounds way better than the "Water Resistant / Proof" models from JBL. I have had it for a year, or so, and it still performs great.
