Since the Charge 3's passive radiators aim outward from each round end, does the sound quality degrade when the Charge 3 stands on end vertically instead of lying horizontally? I don't see any "vented outlet ports" surrounding the edges to project sound. null

There are slight dents in the rim so when stood up on the side, the sound waves travel through. As for the degradation, if you really would pay attention then you can feel a slight change, but I wouldn't call it degradation or any kind of muffling as such.

I found that it does impact it slightly. This bad boy is meant to sit on its like perch on the side. I don't think if you used it vertically that you'd be disappointed. But in my test I can tell when it's sits like that.

Radiators are for low frequencies like bass. There are no ports. Not much change by standing it vertically. It wouldn't be waterproof if it had ports.
