• yes the extreme is a bit larger. I went to the store to look at the extreme...why? because i want some extreme music! it sounded great. but because of the price, i chose the charge 3. The extreme had deepr bass and got louder. but the charge3 sounds fantastic also. I take it on my boat, and have been very happy with it. I'm sure i would love the extreme as much if not more. but it is 2x the price. • The JBL Xtreme speaker is larger than the Charge 3 in terms of dimensions. The dimensions are (H x W x D): 126 x 283 x 122mm, while the Charge 3 is 87 x 213 x 88.5mm.
