It all started with Apple when they stopped including iPhone chargers in 2020 to reduce "e-waste." Step one: Monkey see. Step two: Monkey do. Step 3: Profit & greed. Same with charging a monthly "subscription fee" for everything now. Blame Salesforce and Adobe for that.

JBL doesn't include a USB-C charging cable with the Charge 6 primarily to reduce electronic waste (e-waste) and because most consumers already own compatible USB-C cables and power adapters for their many devices, aiming for sustainability and streamlining packaging. It's a conscious choice to cut down on environmental impact, relying on the fact that users can use existing chargers. That means you can use your iPhone or android charger

Thanks for your question. In efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our electronic equipment, we decided to remove the charging cable in our newest models as most consumers already have them in their homes that they can use to charge our portable speakers.
