If your device has Bluetooth, you can pair it. I use it in a truck at work that has no radio, paired to an IPhone 7, and I can here music very well. Talk shows not quite as well, but by moving it closer to me, I am able to here it. Now I’m half deaf from driving trucks for the past 37 years, so your results may vary.

Our JBL Clip 3 has an audio output power of 3.3 Watts which is loud enough if you are using it in a room or office. However, for outdoors, since you are in an open area and there could be loud noise on the environment which means that it may not be enough to meet your needs.
