Extreme I would use for tailgates or bbq parties. For a pool 2 of these are fine.

Just be aware that the range of these flip 3 sucks when you have two devices connected together. Beyond three feet, they start to emit static and the sound is broken up. Within three feet, they sound great. But for a pool party, I suppose you want to spread the speakers apart a little more than three feet. Also, you cannot connect more than two of these JBL Connect devices together although the box implies otherwise saying you can connect "multiple" speakers together.
