• You can use the FLIP 3 fresh out of the box as there's a partial charge on it. Once the battery is drained, it will take up to 4 hours for a full recharge. The FLIP 3's battery indicator would show you that it is fully charged if all 5 lights are solidly lit. If one of those battery indicators is blinking, that just goes to show that the battery is not yet fully charged.
