It worth $108 you will get a great little speaker that will last for years. As far as water resistant I had a friend that dropped in a cooler full of ice water for a while and the speaker still works.

On the box said it's splash proof... Well mine got some rain and still works perfectly. But don't make it dive. There is another model that can actually dive in a pool if you want. Cheers! ;)
