• It has a rechargeable battery. Mine did not last very long before it started failing and eventually wouldn't work at all. The battery is not removable or replaceable without breaking the seals and risking damage to the speaker. I wish people would not review this speaker after only a short time, as longevity is very disappointing, while initial short term ownership is good. JBL didn't help at all with the battery issues that so many people seem to have. There's tons of videos on how to fix the flip 4 online. It suggests lots of them fail.
