“It's my understanding that this has a speaker on each end. Would this be a reason to never set it upright on one end? Does it roll when you set it on its side? Thanks”

No audio delay that ive noticed so far on any of my jbl speakers. I use bluetooth connection on my pc and dont have any issues. Also it does not roll if set on an even surface, and can be set upright as well to save space
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can roll when set on its side but it is shaped so that it usually wont unless its on a really uneven surface. The "speakers" at each end are actually weights connected to rubber which uses the compression the speakers on the front of the unit make inside to produce a bass tone. You can stand this up on either end without worrying too much about damaging the product but you may want to set it up on its side if youre playing a song with a lot of bass because if the wighted disks make contact with the surface its on it can make a buzzing sound that gets annoying but usually there are no problems.
