While the technology itself doesn't have a limit on the number of speakers, your setup will depend on the size of your patio. Since the Bluetooth LE signal has a specific range, you may find that for a very large area, you'll want to place speakers at intervals to ensure consistent sound. For a large patio, we typically recommend strategically placing 4 to 8 speakers to avoid 'dead zones' and provide the best audio coverage.
