I sometimes forget the phone is in my pocket when 40+ feet away without a problem. Never tested the actual range. Best bet is to leave the phone close to the speaker. No Problems.

Please try again later.Frequency response is posted on the JBL spec sheet, but that measurement is taken in a sound lab and doesn't necessarily reflect real world listening experience. You get very good definition but not much base punch...but it's a small package so not unexpected. If you put it a couple inches from a wall or on an empty box, you will enhance the listening experience - play around with speaker location... If you're questioning the range/distance before the Bluetooth connection fails - that depends on number of factors like potential obstructions, etc.
