This question may be posted for the wrong JBL speaker so let me clarify. The JBL link 10 and JBL link 20 are battery powered speakers that can function with or without the power adapter. The JBL link 300 and JBL link 500 are not battery powered speakers and must at all times have the power adapter plugged in at all times so that the speaker can function.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's not a charging cable, it's the power supply for the speaker that will make sure the speaker is powered with the exact wattage that's required for the speaker to function properly.
