Thanks for your question. Yes, our JBL PartyBox Stage 320 has a removable and replaceable battery. It also charges its battery while plugged into a wall outlet, and you can use the speaker at the same time. Additionally, our JBL PartyBox 320 can charge an iPhone when connected to its USB-A port, even while playing music.

It does charge whole plugged in. As far as charging a phone, i havent tried, do i do not know.
