Best solution I've found is to go from the center and push out, if you can just slightly grab an edge they will push out pretty easily. If you really have trouble use a tool of some kind. Hopefully something soft and thin, most likely plastic so you don't damage the case or earbuds. A small piece of plastic, be it a plastic knife or old giftcard can do it. Though you might want to just try the Sports version that have more to grab due to the wrap around ear piece.
