can someone explain to me how you can get an extra ten hours of battery life from the charging case. I don't get it null

The charging case has a battery built in to it. When you put the earbuds back into the case, even with the case NOT plugged in, it will charge the earbuds. Case has about 10 hours of battery life in it - so when earbuds are drained, you can put them in the case for an hour and they recharge. Great feature for when you are on the go and can't have the case plugged in. Obviously, before some trip (airplane, etc.), charge up the case.

When you charge your headphones you are actually charging both the case and the headphones simultaneously! Therefore, when the power dies down on your headphones, you can stick them back in the case (which has a portable battery in it (that has already been charged up)); and you can recharge your headphones without having to plug them back into the wall! Just pop them in your case for a bit and the case will recharge your headphones so you can pop them back in your ears and continue listening!

The charging case has a built in battery. Once fully charged it can recharge your buds when you place them in the case twice full cycle.
