A:AnswerHi there. No, you do not need a 5G phone for these to work. These should work with any phone that has Bluetooth capability. 4G and 5G refer to the type of internet that your phone uses, so these should be able to work regardless of if your phone is 5G or 4G.
Also, as a little note, 5G doesn't exist yet.

A:AnswerDon't count on these connecting as promised. These earbuds are not anywhere near what is described and from the poor quality and bulkiness believe the supposed 4+ star rating is a sham. Mine worked for all of one hour and than one ear conked out and could never get it to work or connect to a IPhone or PC. And there supposed guarantee is worthless. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.
A:AnswerNot as of April 2019. No commercial airlines that Im aware off habe bluetooth for inflight entertainment. You can however purchase a Bluetooth device from bestbuy that allows you to plug it into the airplane sound and broadcast to your headphones. Cost about $35
