Push the tab into place to secure your phone within the grip. Pull the tab outwards to loosen the grip and to release your phone.

Hello,

The tab in the middle is used to lock the clamp around your device so it doesn't expand when in use. Unlike many of the other cheap phone holders, this one actually hold on to your phone.

The "tab in the middle" is actually a lever that secures the phone in place. The grip is spring loaded and the lever locks the grip in place.
