“Can I connect my charging case with my earbuds in them to a portable back up battery pack? Or will that mess up the battery life of either the buds or the case in the long run? Will the buds or the case get messed up in any way?”

They shouldn't. I chrage them with the buds in the charging case all the time i dont know of any other way to charge them. And will charge just like your phone with a battery pack

Please try again later.The battery will not mess up however some portable charging devices may or may not provide enough power to charge the charging case of the headphones. You can always test it out with your portable charger and if it works then great. Again the charging case of the headphones will not be affected.
