Are the crystals on the outside of the case (therefore susceptible to eventually falling off the case), or are they protected on the inside of the case? null

The crystals are on the outside of the case. They are sunk in so the tops of the crystals are nearly flush with the case surface.

They appear to be embedded in the case, but they do stick out on the back. I don't think they'd easily fall off.

I have had this case for months. The crystals are still sturdy. The phone screen even with a Zagg screen protector is in tatters amd I just have not had the time to bring it in for a new screen. The case is pretty, but it shows wear and tear plenty, however, the crystals are still all intact! :)

The tiny crystals are located on the outside of the case. They appear very secure. They aid in one's grip holding phone. They do not appear to be an issue to me.

Having just picked up this case for my sister the other day. The crystals are located on the outside of the case as you can feel them when running your fingers along the back of the case. They do not appear to be easy to remove and haven't gotten beat up any by being tossed in her bag or pocket.

The crystals are very well placed and secured. I've purchased many late spade cases with this look and I've never had a single crystal fall off. Possible if phone is dropped but I've never dropped my phone.

I had the same concern about losing the crystals (much like when I get a manicure), but I have yet to lose a single gem. The crystals are exposed on the backside, but were strategically sunk into the back to sit very near flush while giving the phone a gentle and fun texture. I'm sure I will lose one eventually, but they still feel as secure as when I purchased the case.
