Use reverse osmosis or distilled, not mineral spring water. Minerals taint the taste and corrode your unit.

This is an optional accessory and not required in order to use the coffee maker. We recommend using bottled or filtered spring water in your Keurig coffee maker. Coffee and tea are over 98% water so quality water is necessary for a good coffee, tea or iced beverage. We do not recommend distilled water in your Keurig coffee maker as it can change the taste profile of your coffee by making it bitter, and may cause brewing results to vary. We hope this helps!
