“How does the add water feature work on this unit? I can have a half full reservoir and the add water light flashes and it want make my coffee. My old one had a float on the side of the tank and i don't see anything in this one.”

Might be best to contact customer service, this doesn’t have the float it just “sucks” the water from the bottom. Maybe there’s an issue with that mechanism
